Aldwell (“we,” “us”) is a home repair scanning and job-posting platform. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

What we collect

Account info: name and email when you sign up. Passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes only.
Photos you upload: stored privately in our cloud bucket and used solely to generate your repair estimate. Public URLs are generated only for images attached to job posts you choose to share.
Scan + job content: the AI's analysis, the job posts you create, and any contact details you add.
Technical data: IP address (for rate limiting), basic request logs, browser session.

Analyze your photos with our AI partner (Anthropic Claude vision) to identify repair issues.
Look up reference pricing data and produce a cost estimate.
Save your scans and job posts so you can return to them.
Match contractors to your jobs (when the contractor side launches).
Send transactional email about your account and jobs.

Anthropic — receives your photo and a structured prompt to perform the AI analysis. Anthropic's privacy terms apply to that processing.
Supabase — hosts our database and image storage.
Vercel — hosts the website.

We don't sell your data and we don't run advertising trackers.

Access and download your data — email privacy@aldwell.ca.
Delete your account and associated data — contact us or use the upcoming Settings page.
Withdraw consent for AI image processing at any time. Without it the scan feature won't work.

Aldwell is not directed at children under 13.

We'll update this page if our practices change and bump the date at the top.
